Senior Slump? Snap Out of It! We know you’ve got worked very hard on the last years that are few all of those challenging courses, getting involved with numerous extracurriculars, taking on leadership positions, etc. And, you are certainly working quite difficult now on your college applications. The Mid-Year Report is a Common application that must be submitted by your counselor after very first semester year that is senior become available. Our office takes these grades under consideration, and expects that the trend in your grades will carry on. That means that if you had been earning high grades prior to, there isn’t any reason those As shouldn’t be reflected on your Mid-Year Report. And although we’re in the topic, senioritis just isn’t an excuse to allow your second-semester year that is senior slip, either. Along with doing the typical App and USC Writing Supplement, students applying to the Iovine and Young Academy, Roski School of Fine Arts, class of Architecture, School of Cinematic Arts, School of Dramatic Arts, therefore the Thornton School of musical must complete the Arts Supplement. In order to do that, students need to respond ‘yes’ to the question, ‘Do you intend to submit an art supplement so that your special skill in one or even more regarding the arts is going to be considered as element of the admission process to University of Southern California?’ on the Writing Supplement. Interviews: Dramatic Arts: All applicants applying to the BA in Dramatic Arts system are asked to schedule an interview with an admission counselor either in person or on the phone. Students can join this meeting on the Dramatic Arts website. Portfolio submission: Fine Arts: In addition to answering concerns about the student’s innovative experience, students must submit 10-15 images on the Media tab on Slideroom. They are added one at time and can’t be added in PDF format. Iovine and Young Academy: Applicants are needed to submit an initial video of only one minute that illustrates an original concept for an innovative item, service or system that solves an issue, addresses a need, or provides a chance. In addition to the video, students may submit as much as 5 media files including visual images, motion graphics, original music recordings, poems, and essays. Every one of these components should be uploaded to the Media tab within Slideroom. Architecture: Students can upload drawing, sketching, painting, graphic design, photography, video, web-design, sculpture, ceramics and furniture design project examples to the Media tab on Slideroom. The admission committee would like to see proof of imagination. Up to 25 examples may be submitted. Cinematic Arts: Depending on the program to that your student applies, students must submit a statement that is personal composing test, creative profile list, reactions to short answer questions, and URLs in Slideroom. The Media tab is where students should upload sample that is visual movie, and photos.
